Purpose/Function
Shift solenoid No.3 adjusts the hydraulic pressure in the R-3-5 brake circuit based on the current demand from the TCM according to the vehicle conditions.
Construction
Shift solenoid No.3 is installed to the solenoid control valve body.
Shift solenoid No.3 is a normal open-type linear solenoid.

Operation
Adjusts the R-3-5 brake pressure by increasing/decreasing the energization current to shift solenoid No.3 according to the signal from the TCM.

NOTE:
A common reserve tank is used for the clutch system and brake system.
1. Verify that the clutch fluid is between the MIN mark and the MAX mark.
Verify that there is no clutch fluid leakage then add clutch fluid to the
level between the MIN mark and the MAX mark..

Vanity Mirror Illumination Inspection
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable..
2. Remove the sunvisor..
3. Verify that the continuity between the vanity mirror illumination terminals
is as indicated in the table.
If not as indicated in the table, replace the sunvisor.

Purpose, Outline
Prevents release of evaporative gas into the atmosphere.
The intake manifold vacuum introduces evaporative gas to the intake manifold
via the charcoal canister and the purge solenoid valve.
